Dear Mr. Gobeil,

I wanted to take this time to personally thank you for offering such a fantastic service to homeowners. It was a very pleasant experience having your drywall classes conducted in our home. A definite win-win situation.

Our basement is very complex having many angles due to the number of duct work and pipes. It would have been very time-consuming and frustrating to tape, plaster and sand the drywall. The students did a very professional job of finishing our basement and have saved us a lot of money.

Initially I was hesitant to leave the students and teachers on their own when I had to attend various appointments but I found them to be completely trustworthy and professional.

Your students and teachers are also extremely courteous. The work in our home took place in January and the first couple of mornings our door bell didn't ring until it was exactly 7:00 AM. We later found out everyone waited in their cars prior to coming in all at one time. My wife and I immediately put an end to this as most mornings it was minus temperatures.

I am so pleased with the program I have already recommended your services to others and hopefully they will be lucky enough to have the Toronto School of Drywall finish their basement."

RE: Free Home Renovation Finishing Program

To Whom It May Concern:

We recently participated in what the Toronto School of Drywall calls its "Free Basement Finishing Program". When it was over, we had the best of both worlds: a professional drywalling job for only the costs of materials, just for letting the school use our house as their classroom.

We heard about the school from someone Ann met at work, and called to see if our home addition would qualify. We had some 650 square feet at the back of our two-story home, and had torn down ceilings in four of our old rooms as well as a few other interior walls. The few drywall contractors who even returned our calls - found through the phone book or neighbors - quoted upwards of $6000.00 for "mudding and taping" all properly. Sean Gobeil explained that yes, the Basement Finishing Program could be used for our project. We found a date when we could have all the drywall installed, ready for the school's crew of students to come to our home for two weeks and add the finish.

Mr. Gobeil provided a very clear shopping list and helped us locate special vinyl beading for our corners with greater-than 45 degree angles. We bought the supplies, arranged parking, and made sure the house was ready for the teachers to begin demonstrations at 7:00 AM each day, and that we had drop-sheets in plave and got out of their way (but not necessarily out of the house) shortly thereafter, when they began to work on the walls and ceilings on all three levels of our house. It's hard to imagine how they could have made it more convenient for us.

The job was not completely finished in the time allotted, mainly because one large room had not been ready when the School started work. No problem: a TSD graduate came over for a couple of days the following week to finish off and touch a few tings up, leaving us with negligible labor costs and as good a job as any experienced drywaller would do.

We have no hesitation in recommending the Toronto School of Drywall to any homeowner with a project that fits into their program, and if we have any smaller drywall finishing jobs in the future our first step will be to ask the school to put us in touch with a graduate "
